Yoga for Athletes will include core work, poses to improve mobility in the shoulders and hips, breathing exercises, and a relaxation period at the end of each class. Pairing breathing techniques with movement and stretching will create body awareness, which will reduce injury and improve performance as an athlete. This class is designed for all sports and all athletes are welcome.


 

BETHANY
Bethany has been practicing and teaching yoga for many years and recently became the owner of Sunflower Studio in Taylorsville, UT. She loves to make yoga fun, safe, non-intimidating and accessible for everyone. She has been an athlete her entire life and enjoys educating her students on the different types of breathing to help balance the mind and use of breath to get the most benefit out of a yoga practice. Her goal is to make sure each class is introspective, educational, and has you leaving feeling better than you came. She loves the outdoors, her sweet little family, road biking, as well as a good competitive game of volleyball, Spike Ball, or Pickleball! Sport City is excited to welcome Bethany and Sunflower Studio as part of their team and another outlet for Sport Citys' athletes to take their training to the next level.
